A whole matching suite of wedding stationery

Did you know that The Designer Card Company offers much more than just wedding invitations? We offer a whole matching suite of wedding stationery, including:

Save the Date Cards
Save the Date Cards ensure that your guests have plenty of notice of your wedding, and therefore they increase the likelihood of your guests’ attendance. Save the date cards can be sent out as soon as you have set a date. But it is important to make sure that your desired venue, church and caterers/suppliers are also free on this date before you commit to sending out your Save the Date cards. You need to send out one per household.

Invitations, RSVP Cards and Guest Information Cards
These three items are traditionally sent together. For this reason, you may wish to order our deluxe wallet style invitations so that everything is neatly enclosed. You need to send one set per household with a few spares to accommodate any mistakes you may make. Invitations, RSVP Cards and Information Cards are all ordered separately however, so you do not have to order extra RSVPs or Information cards since you will not need to write on them. Some couples have a ‘reserve list’, so you may wish to order a few extra invitations for this purpose. RSVP Cards also ask guests to detail any special dietary requirements, which will be useful when you come to compile your menu. They can be provided with a return envelope if required, which encourages a quick response from your guests. Information cards provide your guests with information on how to find the venue, and any other information they may require. For example, some venues disallow confetti and even stiletto heels – so you may wish to include such information here.

Order of Service & Order of the Day Cards
The Order of Service applies to church weddings and the Order of the Day details the civil ceremony and a general outline of the day. The Order of Service card provides details of your religious ceremony and the words of your chosen hymns, readings and prayers. It is important to include the name of the vicar leading the ceremony, along with the organist, choir and any other people involved in your ceremony. Likewise, if you are using any music during your civil ceremony this is usually listed in the Order of the Day card, and it is customary to include the name of the registrar. Some couples like to name the song they have chosen for their first dance. Guests often like to retain these items as a keepsake. One booklet per couple is required, and don’t forget to order extra for those people leading your ceremony and those managing your wedding party at your chosen venue.

Menu Cards
One menu card per person is required, and this can be set out on your reception tables so that your wedding stationery theme is continued into your wedding breakfast. Don’t forget to order different menu cards for those who specified special dietary requirements on their RSVP card. Please note that these will have to be placed as a separate order, and the price may vary if a lower quantity is required.

Place Cards / Tags
Our place cards match the rest of your stationery suite and can either be provided blank or printed. If you would like them printed you will need to provide all names in excel format. One place card per person will be required, but if you wish to write the names on them yourself you may wish to order a few extra in case of mistakes. Place tags are also available. These are in a ‘luggage label’ shape and come with long double satin ribbons so that they can be tied to wine glass stems, making your reception tables look stunning!

Table Names or Numbers
Table names and numbers both match your entire stationery suite – your reception room will look lovely when it is all set up! Table names enable you to follow a theme. You could have a ‘Princesses’ table for female friends, for example, or a ‘Knights’ table for men. You will need to order one per table, and don’t forget the top table!

Seating plan / Escort Cards
In order to tell guests where they will be seated you can either order one large (A2) table plan which will be positioned on the entrance to the reception room, or you could order one escort card per guest. In this instance each guest is given a card explaining the table name or number where they shall be seated. This is a very elegant and personal option, and one card per guest is required.

Thank You Cards
This is often forgotten, but it is important to thank guests for their attendance and/or the gift(s) they have given to you. You need one per household who attended the wedding or one per person, couple or family who gave a gift. Our Thank You Cards match your entire stationery suite and make a lovely keepsake. They are left blank so you can write your own personal message.

Favour boxes
Matching favour boxes are also available in your chosen design, enabling your wedding theme to be continued into the reception.
