Dancing with the Stars runner-up and former S Club 7 singer Rachel Stevens was mugged for her engagement ring yesterday.

The star, who is currently in the midst of planning her wedding, which is due to take place this August in France, was on her own doorstep in north London when she was set upon by three muggers.

It is reported that they demanded she give them her diamond engagement ring, a Rolex watch and a necklace, collectively worth tens of thousands of pounds.

Fortunately, a spokesperson for Stevens revealed that she did not sustain any injuries, saying: “Rachel did experience an intrusion and is shaken but otherwise okay.”

The 30-year-old, who is set to wed Family Affairs actor Alex Bourne, recently claimed that she is looking forward to indulging in a girly hen party.  She added that she wants to look like a princess in her wedding dress, saying it is going to be like a meringue.
