The Colour of the Season

It was popular in the 70s and the early 90s, but now it is back with a passion! This season’s colour is undoubtably purple. A deep, rich purple seems to be the more popular choice, especially for winter weddings, but shades of lilac and lavender are great alternatives for summer weddings.

If you fancy purple as your wedding colour you may wish to know that The Designer Card Company can produce any of its wedding stationery designs in any colour you choose. You will see that the ‘Opulence’ design is the only design on the website shown in purple. But if you like one of the other designs, like ‘Velvet Blossom’, our best selling design, this can be reproduced in any shade of purple.

Lots of brides provide swatches of material so that we can colour-match for them, then there are lots of different ribbon colours to choose from as well. And you can always add a little bling to your wedding stationery by adding a diamante buckle – there are six types of buckle to choose from.

What’s more, if you would like your guests to be bowled over by your gorgeous wedding invitations, you could go for our ‘exclusive’ option, whereby we add your names to the front of the cards. This creates a unique design and your guests will clearly be able to see that you have gone to the trouble of having your cards made by industry-leading experts.

If you would like a simpler, more classic design, go for one of our ‘Chic’ suite designs. These cards are ivory pearlescent cards with silver foil embossed covers. Colour can be applied with double satin ribbon in the colour of your choice. Look out for updates on The Designer Card Company’s website for more information, or contact us and we will be more than happy to help!

If you are looking for cheap wedding invitations you may wish to know that our entire range is now available as a DIY option, saving you a significant amount of money! Details will be available on the website soon.
